The Power of CLA

There are already so many dietary supplements out there claiming to be the solution to easy weight loss, and for most people, the results have always been disappointing. If you have been searching for your own dietary supplement solutions in the quest for easy weight loss, you probably have tried many different kinds of supplements already with mixed results at best. What is CLA?

CLA, stands for Conjugated Linoeic Acids. The official definition of it is that CLA is a family of 28 isomers of linoeic acids that comes mostly from dairy and meat products, though in very small amounts. Simply put, CLA is a type of fat that occurs naturally in many different foods. Scientists have been studying this “Special Fat” and have discovered a wide variety of beneficial effects for people.

Can CLA help you lose weight?

This of course is the big question. Does it help you lose weight? Well the simple and quick answer to that is that accordingly to research it helps reduce the size of fat cells , while at the same time promoting the production of muscle cells. In summary, it helps reduce fat, particularly fat in the abdominal region and aids in muscle growth. Take note that the keyword for CLA’s effect “reduce fat” and not really eliminate it, as CLA will help your fat cells break down their contents and get it processed more efficiently into the bloodstream.

 

There have been many studies from the past decades already about CLA. As far back as 2000, a study from the Journal of Nutrition found that 1consumption of CLA significantly reduces the Body Fat Mass of Overweight and Obese volunteers. So it is already a long running substance that many people have studied and seen. Hence, the appearance of supplements that contain CLA.

The Catch?

As you will probably ask, what is the catch when using CLA supplements? Well, the good thing is, there really is no catch. CLA is a naturally occurring substance found in many kinds of food like Dairy, Meat and Olive Oil. So it is not some drug that forces any kind of strain in your body.
